DP Measurements as it related to column flooding

The questions on DP measurement, related to Column flooding are

1. Is one single DP measurement preferred if so why?
2. If the DP that is being calculated using two pressure measurements (assuming there is enough resolution in the A/D converter) what are the precautions to be taken?
3. Do you recommend separate DP measurements across the stripping and rectifying sections of the tower? If so under what circumstances?
